Judy Kim is a New York based food stylist, recipe developer, culinary producer and creative consultant. Her styling concentrates on commercial print work and tv commercials for brands such as Uber Eats, Starbucks, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Panera, Pepsi, Domino’s, Cazadores, and Michelob. But she savors her editorial work which can be seen in Bon Appetit, The New York Times, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Martha Stewart, Wine Enthusiast, Food & Wine, and Vogue. Between assignments, she continues to pursue personal projects to feed her passion for food and design and find new ways to evolve her art form.

Before food came a career in fashion. Jobs at Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Rebecca Taylor, and others unknowingly layed the foundation for her future vocation. Merchandising luxury apparel and accessory collections took the bulk of those years, there was even a stint as a colorist, but a pivotal role at Burberry launched a deep interest in product development. Merchandisers regularly sat in on design meetings to review textile swatches, color palettes and sketches, but product developers traveled the world to source and manufacture. She spent nearly a decade visiting with international textile makers, trim suppliers, factories while overseeing pattern makers and sample hands in the design studio. Fashion gave her the perfect menagerie of skills and experiences for a new profession as a food stylist. It meant everything to finally become an artist, a creative working in a creative field.

Judy fulfilled a life long dream to meet Martha Stewart when she was a guest on Martha’s PBS series Martha Bakes. In the Fanciful Tarts episode of season 10, she taught her techniques in making a rhubarb tart. As a recipe developer, she contributes recipes to The New York Times, The James Beard Foundation and Delish where she was previously a recipe columnist, Insanely Easy Weeknight Dinners.
