Judy Kim is a New York based food stylist, recipe developer, culinary producer, art director and creative consultant. While her work concentrates in food, her styling work often incorporates botanical elements. With a background in Florals and Fashion, they create and shape her unique approach to visuals.
The early years shaped her current career. Her first job at a flower shop quickly turned into assisting floral designers. Later her work developed into an apprenticeship where she obsessively learned about different varieties of flowers and focused on rustic composition. Upon graduation she took a Design Assistant position at Ralph Lauren / Mens Sweater Design. While only there for a brief time, knitted patterns made an impression on her food styling. Eventually it led to managing Mens and Womens Merchandising and Product Development departments in Luxury and Contemporary brands such as Calvin Klein, Elie Tahari, Burberry, Rebecca Taylor and Ralph Lauren.
Judy was a guest on Season 10 of the PBS series Martha Bakes with Martha Stewart. She was a recipe columnist for Delish, Insanely Easy Weeknight Dinners and remains now as a contributor. She currently works with The James Beard Foundation as a recipe developer and food stylist. In addition to her commercial clients, her work has appeared in Vogue, Food & Wine, Bon Appétit, O The Oprah Magazine, Real Simple, Brides, In Style, New York Magazine, Forbes, Women’s Health etc.
